SRMIST Signs MoU with Shree Renga Polyester Pvt. Ltd. for Research Collaboration in Waste Management - SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shree Renga Polyester Pvt. Ltd. (SRPPL), Karur, a leading industry specializing in converting waste PET bottles into fibers and transforming them into wearable fabrics for various applications. The MoU was signed by Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, and Dr. K. Sankar, Managing Director, SRPPL, in the presence of senior faculty members and administrators of SRMIST. Through this collaboration, SRMIST and SRPPL aim to undertake joint research and develop innovative products and processes in the field of waste management. The MoU also facilitates exchange programs that will allow SRMIST faculty members and SRPPL employees to participate in short-term training and knowledge-sharing activities at both institutions. In addition, resource persons from SRPPL will contribute as visiting faculty in designated academic programs at SRMIST, thereby enriching the learning ecosystem with industry expertise. Collaborative research projects in identified thrust areas will also be pursued under this agreement. This partnership is expected to strengthen the bridge between academia and industry while promoting sustainable practices, benefiting students, researchers, and industry professionals alike.

BS Admissions Open for 2025 - Applications are now being accepted for the Bachelor of Science (BS) program admissions for the year 2025 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
